O God, You are My Lord

O God, you are my Lord

In eagerness I search for you.

I hunger for your Word

My thirsting heart will you pursue.

Before you, Lord, I stand fulfilled.

Upon your Word, my life I build.

Lord, here I long to be.

Your temple is my dwelling place.

Here all around I see

The glory of your shining face.

Each night I think of you.

Each day I raise my voice in praise.

Your love is always true.

And ceases never to amaze.

In prayer I lift my hands

To bless your name each day I live

All satisfaction lands

Upon my heart when you forgive.

The love you give to me

It is better than all of my life.

My deeds you will review

Then saved me by my Savior’s strife.
