God is Our Refuge and Our Strength

God is our Refuge and our strength

Throughout our days we’re ne’er alone.

Look how he went to such great length

And by his Son made us his own.

Though vicious storms rile up the sea

And global warming melts the ice

Our refuge God will always be

He’s by our side; that will suffice.

Though nations fight with loss of life

And terror strikes without a sign

Our God is there amid the strife

To rescue us by his design

Your Word’s a river that I love

Amid unrest it settles me

It flows with joy from far above

A place of rest eternally.

It’s gentle stream reveals your grace.

Thus all my fears are laid to rest.

I know that God will me embrace
