PSALM 37
The Lord has Words for Us Today
1. The Lord has words for
us today.
When evil looks to conquer all.
Delight in me and live my way
Though hurting now I hear your call.
2. Rest in the Lord for he will act.
The wrong he’ll right; the good he’ll do.
He’s at your side; you nothing lack
He blesses you each day anew.
3. Do not envy those who do well
The Lord has said their time will end.
He will befriend all those who dwell
Close to his Son whom he did send.
4. The Lord will meet your heart's desire
As you commit to Him your way.
His home he said you will acquire
When close to Him you always stay.
5. You'll find your joy in what he gives;
When he alone directs your ways.
Give praise to Him that Jesus lives
To guide his people all their days
6. Be humble now before the Lord.
Know he observes all your good deeds.
He offers peace as his reward
He sent his Son to meet your needs.
7. Walk in his way;
wait on the Lord.
And to his Word your life submit
When mind and heart are in accord
With Him in heaven you will sit.
