The Happy News Again is Heard

The happy news again is heard

The promised Savior comes to earth

An angel came with God’s own Word

To tell a virgin she’d give birth

God opened wide the heav’nly door

And sent his Son born in a stall

Christ is the One we all adore

We sing your praises, Lord of all

Hosanna to the living Lord

His Son came down a child so mild

And grace upon us he has poured

God’s love and joy came through this child.

He is the Fountain spring of life

He comes to brighten all our days

His presence brings an end to strife

We lift our hearts in ceaseless praise

Our hymn of joy we all now sing.

The Christ Child comes to bear our shame

One day this lowly child will bring

Salvation in his holy name
