PSALM 29

Let All the Earth Now Praise the Lord

Let all the earth now praise the Lord

For his glory and his might

Praise!  Give praise to the Lord.

Praise!  Forever praise.

Let us praise Him all with one accord

For the love that shines so bright

Praise! Give praise to the Lord.

Praise!  Forever praise.

Glory, glory  to the Lord.

The Lord’s voice echoes from the clouds

Glory thunders through the skies

Praise! Give praise to the Lord.

Praise!  Forever praise

His peace for us which  he endows

Blessing us with all things wise.

Praise!  Give praise to the Lord.

Praise!  Forever praise.

Glory, glory to the Lord.

In majesty he reigns from heaven

He provides for all our needs.

Praise!  Give praise to the Lord.

Praise!  Forever praise.

Peace and strength to us he has given

Fr4om which our faith e’er proceeds.

Praise!  Give praise to the Lord.

Praise! Forever praise.

Glory, glory to the Lord.

All glory be to God alone

Reaching down to right our wrong

Praise!  Give praise to the Lord.

Praise   Forever praise.

His love for us in Christ is shown

Holding us with arms so strong.

Praise!  Give praise to the Lord.

Praise!  Forever praise.

Glory, glory to the Lord

David calls upon us to give praise to God as a means of maintaining our belief in the goodness of God.  Here we see God’s sovereign power over nature, as King of the universe, and among those who speak of his glory in their place of worship.
