A Psalm of God's presence and His salvation

PSALM 21

In Your Strength, Lord

In your strength, Lord, we now rejoice

You bring us peace and harmony.

Blessed are we to be your choice

To live within your company

In your success acknowledge Him

Who gives you all your heart’s desire

Give Him your praise in song and hymn

For his hand gives all you require

You sent your Son to take our place

A thorny crown laid on his head.

All evil came to Him debase

And for our life his body bled.

But you, O Lord, raised Him from death

And gave to Him a crown of gold.

So now he breathes in us his breath

of Life; and thus did grace unfold.

His countless blessings he has given

All earthly gifts are a preface

When we join Him in his high heaven

What joy to see Him face to face.

David offers a prayer of thanksgiving for all God’s blessings.  When he blesses us, does he not deserve our praise?  This psalm is filled with references to Christ, the real king of glory.
