PSALM 16

The Lord’s Delight is in His Own

The Lord’s delight is in his own.

With them I find my joy as well.

I come with them before your throne

To highest heav’n our praises swell.

Hallelujah!  The Lord chose me.

To Him alone I give my heart.

He gave his all that I can be

Close by his side and ne’er depart.

I bless the Lord who counsels me,

For wisdom given that is just right.

He sent his Son to keep me free.

His guidance gives me great delight.

My heart is glad and I rejoice,

For in the Lord I dwell secure.

And when he speaks I heed his voice.

His Word guides me in ways most sure.

Your presence, Lord, fills me with joy.

All blessings come from your right hand.

Do not let sin come to destroy,

The pleasure of your heavenly land.
