God was, God is, and God will be everywhere

Psalm 139

The Lord Made Me

The Lord made me a special way

By forming me from the dust and clay.

He breathed in life so I could be

His own dear child eternally.

He knows my thoughts before I speak;

Before I rise my life he’s blest.

And when I drift he’s there to seek

My soul to save and give me rest.

The Lord my God is everywhere

His hand is there to be my guide.

There is no cause that I despair

By night and day he’s by my side.

O Lord, you look into my heart

You know my thoughts also my deeds.

How lovely still you will impart

Your gifts to meet my daily needs.

How precious, Lord, for us to raise

Our voices strong in songs of praise

How welcome is your constant gaze;

It keeps me firmly in your ways.

This psalm highlights the all-knowing nature of God, and further develops its application in the form of our response – an expression of thanks for God’s care of us.
