PSALM 134

The Lord Keeps Watch

The Lord keeps watch o’er us by night

He helps us do what’s right

He’s there beside us every day

May we not from him stray

The Lord has made the heav’n and earth

He gave us all new birth

He promised us our lives to save

He helps us to behave.

Mysterious are your ways, O Lord

You teach us through your Word

You lift your hand in holiness

Our lives you surely bless.

O bless the Lord for he has come

To bring us to his home.

He overthrew the devil’s hold

He gives us crowns of gold.
