A psalm of praise

Psalm115score.jpg

Psalm 115
All Praise and Glory Be

All praise and glory be

To God, our Lord and King

Your kindness and your truth we see

In every living thing.

We praise you for your love

As seen in Christ, your Son

Who came to earth from heaven above

O’er sin the vict’ry won.

All praise and glory be

To God upon his throne

His Son has come to make us free

That we may be his own

No other gods can heal

They cannot hear or see

Nor can they ever make us feel

Like can the Trinity.

All praise and glory be

To him who is our shield.

His blessings all around we see

Good fruits they always yield.

The Lord is there for you

As one for whom Christ died.

He gives to us the heav’nly view

And serves us as our guide.

All praise and glory be

To One who blesses you.

A man of faith who helps you see

The way that is so true.

He faithfully does bring

              Your kingdom into view
He helps us see you as our King

Now and eternally.

This hymn was composed in praise and thanksgiving to Almighty God for my friend and colleague, the Rev. Peter Nickel, in honor of his 25th anniversary in the ministry and as pastor of Huntington Woods Lutheran Church, Huntington Woods, Michigan   It was written to be sung to the tune of “Crown Him With Many Crowns”.
