A psalm of deliverence from sin

Psalm106score.jpg

PSALM 106
Blessed be the Lord

Blessed be the Lord, our God

He rescues us from all our sin

Through the shedding of Christ’s blood

Each day he lets us start again

Though he chastens with his rod

His care for us is genuine

We sin, O Lord, against you

Forgetting all that you have done

Jesus came your will to do

Still we desire our lives to run

Even so you will pursue

Your people till the vict’ry’s won

Come to him in your distress

He will again deliver you

Then in all your helplessness

He’ll give to you a brand new view

Jesus came in death to bless

When he all evil overthrew

Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord

Your love for us is e’er so strong

We all praise you!  Your strong Word

Reveals to us where we go wrong

Glory to you!  You restored

Heaven to us where we belong

Praise God in times of blessings as well as in times of distress.  Begin and end your prayers, as did the psalmist, with praise to God.  See how God rebukes our sin yet saves us from ruin.
