PSALM 101

The Lord Has Spoken Through His Word

The Lord has spoken through his Word;
Instructing us on how to live.
Walk in God's ways with one accord
and to his will you'll always strive.

The Lord has spoken through his Word

The wicked feel its cutting edge

The faithful ones have sin abhorred

And to your will they give their pledge.

To you alone our anthems raise

You temper justice with your love

With heart and voice your name we raise

For watching o’er us from above.

Help us refuse temptation’s way

When evil comes to harm our soul.

Be then our guide throughout each day

To walk your way, Lord, is our goal.

The Lord said: “With you I am.”

He sent his Son to prove this true.

He is the one we call the Lamb.

He gave his live to make us new.
