Once Upon a Star Filled Night

Once upon a star filled night

The Lord came down to touch the earth.

Within the shadow of his might

God came to us of humble birth.

This I declare:  He is my Lord.

My Savior came to show God’s love

He brought a message of my worth.

To earth he came from heaven above

To live a life of humble birth.

I live beneath his shelt'ring wings
My armor is his promise given.

So of his love my heart now sings.

His promise is a home in heaven.

The peace of God is mine today.

I feel his love on me outpoured.

The shadow of his hands my stay.

It strikes in me a fervent chord
