PSALM 80
Give Ear, O Shepherd, to Your Flock
Give
ear, O Shepherd, to your flock
Bend
down your ear and hear our plea.
Remove
from us sin’s stumbling block,
From
all that binds now make us free.
When God seems not to hear us pray,
And we surmise he’s left our side
He tries our faith that we will stay
True to his word; there to abide.
Your
Church, O Lord, is like a vine.
The branches,
we, and Christ the root.
When
we with him our hearts combine;
The debt
of sin you will commute.
That vine now spreads to all the land.
It roots itself deep in each heart.
We pray, O Lord, that it may stand
That from you we may e’er depart.
